Te Akau ki Papamoa School is leading New Zealand in the use of E-Learning to engage students. We are the first school in the country to pioneer school funded 1:1 iPad learning for all students, and are proud to host other schools on a regular basis as we share our knowledge and expertise in the field of E-Learning.
E-Learning is an incredible way to increase engagement, attendance, focus, excitement and relevance of learning to students. We do not learn about the tool itself, but about using the tool to access the world around us. With E-Learning, ICT simply becomes a gateway to the curriculum.
Digital classrooms are proven to enhance researching, problem solving, and self-directed learning skills, which are an important aspect of our school’s philosophy of ‘leading me to lead my learning’.
We believe that anything we can do to improve results and enjoyment of learning is important. We want our students to be ready for a dynamic and changing world; ready to learn and adapt to the environment they will shape.
