Te Akau ki Papamoa School is focused on lifting the engagement and achievement of all young people. To this end, we have identified successful strategies and are sharing good practice in the teaching and learning of quality physical education and sports co-ordination.
A full time sports co-ordinator has been employed to enhance opportunities for all learners to succeed. To do so we are building on what we're already doing to meet this goal.

The Sports Co-ordination Programme is designed to improve student outcomes through:
• Looking at teaching-learning relationships whilst participating and engaging in physical activity
• Creating a supportive learning environment for sporting and cultural success
• Providing a range of approaches and tools to address the diverse learning needs of learners so they achieve to their full potential.
